Trust is not an easy film to watch, but the message is something all parents
really should take the time to see. It is controversial, and will disturb you,
but above all the film will impact you.
The story involves a
typical family that is at odds with one another, and torn, when their middle
child, 14-year old Annie meets a guy online. After chatting online and by
phone, for a few months, Annie begins to learn that her friend Charlie is not
what he claims to be at all. When her parents learn the situation that their
innocent young daughter has gotten herself into they’re in for a rude
awakening.
The
main thing that hurts the film, Trust, is the fact that it tackles such a
disturbing subject. When people feel a realistic subject hits too close to
home, it makes them terrified, or even queasy that they don’t want to see a
film depicting the truth. Certain films that speak the truth...
